WHO I AM
I am a qualified and registered psychotherapist, working with Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Person-Centred Counselling and other techniques to help individuals challenge their own unique problems and circumstances and release their true potential.
I can work with clients around issues of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, self-esteem, weight loss, smoking, phobias and educational issues. Treatments tend to be short (often a single session) but can include longer treatment programmes, if required, and are always tailored to each individual's needs. I also deliver motivational training sessions for groups and individuals on Writer's Block and issues around public speaking and educational attainment. As a teacher and trainer of therapists, I have worked for the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and also the for the NHS.
I have particular experience in issues around sexuality and have worked extensively with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) clients and organisations. My approach is always person-centred and affirmative, seeking to help clients to explore their own identities and potentials within a confiding and supportive therapeutic relationship. I am also an organiser of the Flagship LGBT education initiative.
